Club AGM - 2nd July 2026
Due to the record temperatures of the heatwave on the 25th June 2026, for the safety of everybody, we postponed the AGM for a week and rescheduled it for the 2nd July 2026. Fortunately, the weather was a bit kinder to us and the temperatures were much more manageable and we were able to go ahead with our AGM.
AGM
We started our AGM with a review of last year’s minutes, followed by the Chairman’s Report and the Treasurer’s Report. We also had some useful discussions on how best to engage with the club moving forward into the 2026 - 2027 season. The minutes of the AGM will be produced in due course and all of the reports will be made available to club members in the usual ways.
After we concluded the AGM agenda, we took a short tea break, where we tucked into some delicious savoury nibbles and some homemade cakes.
Bird Photographs
Back on the 14th May 2026, we invited David Broadbent along to give us a talk on “Wetlands”. (Click here to see the blog from 14th May) As David specialises in bird photography at Slimbridge WWT, it inspired us to submit our own bird images for review. We originally aimed for the night of David’s talk, but ran out of time, so included them for review after the break on the night of the AGM.
