Club Meeting 24th September 2026

We had a very enjoyable time reviewing some lovely photographs from the various summer shoots that had been organised by Danny over the last few months during the break. There have been a lot of variety in the locations chosen, from motorbike racing at Castle Combe to night photography at Stonehenge. While not everyone was able to attend all of them, a good proportion of club members had been able to attend at least one event.

I particularly liked the Milky Way shots that were achieved with Stonehenge in the foreground and the imaginative shots that people had come up with for photographing the eclipse during August, which although this was not an arranged outing, it did mean that the same event could be captured by all, wherever they may have been at the time.

Although we did not have a formal presentation at this meeting Larry made use of the new "10 minute tech talk” to review a gadget that he has found particularly useful, namely the Telesin Master Grip and Filter Adapter that he uses with an iPhone. He mentioned that the LED attachment has been particularly useful for close-up shots of flowers. This looked like a lovely bit of kit and I liked the way it makes the phone actually look like a camera :-)

Great start for this new slot.

Larry also very generously provided a similar item that was raffled and won by Rob.

Our thanks to Danny for organising the events and if anyone has suggestions for other interesting locations, please let him know.
