Club Website Progress
Towards the end of 2025, an invite went out to all members of the club, asking who would be interested in sitting on/joining a focus group to discuss and potentially instigate investigations into a club website.
At our club meeting on 5th February 2026, the focus group, sat to discuss the possibility of a website and what the main aim of the site would be and who would be targeted by the site. By the end of the meeting, we had agreed that a website should be set up and a couple of positions had been agreed.
After one of the focus group members had a meeting with the webmaster of Devizes Photography Club, we incorporated a website proposal and a plan was produced and submitted to the club committee for approval.
Having the official go-ahead from the committee, the work of producing the website began.
As of Easter 2026, the club website is almost near completion and ready to publish. So far, there have been no major objections to anything that has been drafted on the site and it is still very much in a “In-Progress” state.
All of the images shown on the site have been taken within the last couple of years by club members and submitted to the various challenges we have throughout the year.
Congratulations to the owners of the images that have made it onto the main pages of the website, they have been chosen at random and no intentional bias has been given to anybody.
A note to our club members: If you do not see any of your own images on the website, please do make us aware, so that we can include you. I would hate to see anybody from the club, not getting the recognitions that they are due.
